SITE INDEX is a complex, multi-phased, public art project based on geologic and biologic concepts, for the College of Design at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN (UMN). The project is being developed in collaboration with Rebecca Krinke, Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture at UMN for the new Steven Holl designed annex to College of Design incorporating the original building designed by Ralph Rapson, after whom the whole College of Design facility is named.

Rapson Group
(Geology Text Panels), Dark Matter (Proterozoic/Holocene) I & II and conceptual indexing project of tree species involving the College of Design exterior landscape, interior space and library are the principal elements of SITE INDEX.

Dark Matter (Proterozoic/Holocene) I plays a dual roll in being the title of both early conceptual ideas for the site as well as the subtitle for the geologic components of SITE INDEX. The video work, Dark Matter (Proterozoic/Holocene) II, may be installed if funds become available.
